Publisher's Note by Kevin Morgan

We have it all in Stamp News, from History to Hilarity! Read Angie Testa's Ballooning article and you will see what I mean.

Simon Dunkerley's Australia in Depth this month focuses on pitfalls for the unwary in buying Victorian Stamp Duties on eBay, staying with that same online auction Rod Perry takes a look at Gulf States on cover realizing some quite incredible results and Glen Stephens looks at a new kangaroo discovery and withdrawn errors of Papua New Guinea.

Glen also writes about the devastation in Burma , and how you can help. Between Glen and the members of Stampboards (www. stampboards.com) over $5000 has been raised, and is at this moment helping to feed the homeless and other survivors caught up in this still unfolding tragedy.

Add to this our interesting round-up of stories from our talented group of writers including overseas contributors David Smitham and Christer Brunstrom, and I think you will agree we have a pretty formidable team.

We are still looking for a Great Britain and/or British Commonwealth columnist, so if you are reading this and think you have something to contribute, please get in touch!

Readers letters are always welcomed, and although we have limited space each month, be assured that even if we do not publish your comments, we certainly do read and take notice of what you are saying.

The growth of subscribers overseas has been quite marked in the past few months, and in just the past week subscriptions have been received from USA , France , Germany , Austria and Japan .

Advertisers, current and potential will be pleased to see that we have now rolled our advertising rates into an all colour package, at very little more than the previous mono rates. This should make us a lot more attractive to advertisers worldwide, and help make even more colourful than ever!

Happy stamping

Kevin Morgan
